Concrete

One of man's oldest, strongest and most durable materials every developed. However, not all concrete is created equal. Earth Element Studio uses proprietary mixtures to create concrete products that are as timeless and refined as a piece of exquisitely sculpted stone. When our custom mixture is mixed and poured into finely crafted forms, the concrete takes on a whole new set of characteristics that go beyond the traditional concept of what concrete is believed to be. With an infinite array of design options, concrete can be warm and smooth with gentle curves and soothing color tones or just as easily be bold and contemporary with sharp geometric forms.

As concrete artisans we are passionate about our craft and take great pains to achieve superior results. It is our goal to elevate the medium of concrete to a level beyond the common conceptions of concrete.

Committed to Sustainable Design

The environmental aspects of using concrete, as a primary building material is also very important to us at Earth Element Studio. As part of our commitment to “green design” we are constantly finding ways to use existing materials, without depleting resources for future generations. Concrete is an ecological alternative to petroleum based synthetic products, such as solid surface materials, and non-renewable natural materials such as marble, granite and exotic woods.

Concrete has often been called “a Material for a finite planet”, and can be used as a medium for using many materials thought to be garbage, from old glass to fly-ash (a by-product of coal production) and the list goes on.

Using concrete is not only good for the earth, but also for our heath; because concrete can also be a hypo allergenic material. When polished, the pores on the surface are sealed so that dust and other allergens have no place to go, plus generally no coatings are applied, so there is no harmful off-gassing or organic vapors being emitted.
